I've always loved C-3PO and am hoping this site will give me the drive to finally build a wearable costume. I currently have a Stormtrooper, Tusken Raider, and just finished a Pre Vizsla costume. I'm hoping all the skills used to build those costumes will translate over to this build. I haven't worked with fibreglass much, more of an ABS and styrene kind of guy, but I'm always open to trying new materials and methods. As with many other members on here I am researching 3PO parts (ABS vs fibreglass) and am hoping I can start piecing together a costume soon. I did sand and prep them first. Your only going to get as good as you give with VM. I sanded then primer then sanded more. Its lots of work but for the lower arm piece its sadly the only option we have at the moment. I had a load of hand pistons done too just as spares really. Just finished my Jim Sleeth Foot shells. Kung-Fu shoes on the inside with elastic to hold the shells down at the front. Next to my Moncal feet lined with insole pads for comfort.
