NS-4 I ROBOT BUILD

I have started yet another project NS-4 Fed Ex droid from I Robot. As always I start with a head . I got this head off ebay.
I found out that this is a recast from Zorg. Will try to contact Zorg for an original.

I had to do allot to this to make it for [sign in to see URL] opening on the bottom of the head :I used some sheet plastic to close the gaps around my home depot pvc neck. I built up the back of the head with some wood to hide the opening so the head can tilt.
The body will be made from a sectioned mannequin .
Crap got the paint wrong!
Here is a few drawings I made of design and structure.

Here is a pic of the internal frame and a mannequin will be sacrificed for the cause! I will cut out pieces of this body to make the body panels

Got some work done.
Note: In harvesting this mannequin nothing will be waisted. All parts will be put to good use in other robots so it will have not died in vain . I even made the cut quick as it felt no pain

Thanks Mr Tea!
Did some more mods to the front of the chest .I will start the back bondo work tonight. I found out a verry imortant lesson: do not grind bondo in an enclosed space. My eyes are badly swolen.

Re: NS-4 I ROBOT BUILD

I got the back roughed in and the arm openings cut front and back. I was going to scrap the abdominal section and build another to incorporate some structure and make it a little shorter but need to conceal the support pvc.I am trying to stay screen accurate but because there are no current life size ns-4's out there that I know of, I will have to wing it.
Sadly I can not do without the pvc center support out of the bottom of the abb section . I will paint it flat black .
