Re: Back Mod
Are there any good resources for learning how to fiberglass? I'd love to do a mod like this, but I have no experience with fiberglass.

How did you cut it? I mean, so that it is straight and lines up with each other?

Re: Back Mod
Here is a nice little beginners tutorial for learning to fiberglass
http://www.wikihow.com/Use-a-Fiberglass-Kit
My first time using fiberglass was on my C3PO.
I cut the back off with a Dremel blade. I built up the edges and smoothed everything out with "Bondo-Glass" and "Bondo Glazing and Spot Putty"
I found a little trick that worked wonders while laying fiberglass. I used painters tape, laid the glass over the sticky side of the tape and then just pealed the tape off when it was dry. So on the back mod for instance - I created the 'lip' first out of painters tape (Make sure its pulled tight), then laid the glass from the inside, onto the sticky side of the tape. Wait for it to dry, then peel it off and use a Dremel to round/shape the edges.

Re: Back Mod
Without being 100% sure, I think the magnets are to be covered with a thin layer of fiberglass/resin-putty, thus not being exposed to the actual chroming.
