I use the reinforcing from my suit's shipping container almost every day. Works great as a frame to clamp things to when I paint parts. emoticon

Re: TK409 Protocol Project

I found a company in the uK that can spray chrome gold and silver and it looks as good as vac Metalising I have sent off for some samples to be painted so will post these on here when I receive them, the cost is about the same as Metalising but the advantages are you can repair scratches by reprinting with a kit you can buy from them. I to hope I don't get hammered on import tax emoticon

Re: TK409 Protocol Project

Check my latest blog post HERE

Skip forward to about 6:05 on the video for a look at the metal I'm doing here.

I'm using Alclad II chrome. Enough to cover the whole suit is about $65. To do really good coverage, no thin spots probably closer to $80 or $100 but I've been learning lots of what not to do and the paint usage is getting more efficient.

If it's the parts aren't prepped correctly it won't look good. Same applies to vac metalizing and spray chromes

Full suit should be done by tonight or tomorrow, I'll post photos and explain the process better.
