Re: Building C3PO from Scratch
Hey guys,
Just a quick update. I loaded up some more pictures but probably not the ones your looking for. I couldn't get no during photos, darn it!
I added my copy of the backpack provided by Brad, by the way, thanks again. After I added it on I went to down load the pics from the floppy disk that this particular camera takes and found that the floppy had a disc error. So I won't be adding the pictures of that process.
My website is down due to the amount of traffic, however when it becomes available I'll load a quick pic.
I have some correcting to do on my webpages. I hope to have the time for that very soon.
John

Re: Building C3PO from Scratch
Here's a quick pic. I'm having trouble with the lighting. I'm used a back up camera and the pics came out worst.
I'll load some more up later tonight.

Re: Building C3PO from Scratch
I really regret not having the application photos.
Notice its pretty rough. There are a few holes sanded through due to the amount of bondo taken off to sort of square yet round everything symetrical within its self. I bought some bondo a while back from K-Mart and didn't check it. I found it had no hardener and the liquid part of the bondo was on top, yet the thick part of the bondo misture was on the bottom. This made for uneven hardening and drying. I will probably throw away the rest of the bondo and get some more to finish this up.
Here below is the link for the backpack mold application.

Re: Building C3PO from Scratch
Looking great John. The holes will be easy enough to patch. I bet it feels great having this project come this far along. Keep up the great work!

Re: Building C3PO from Scratch
This entire project is awesome John. I showed my wife the two photos above (Duct Tape vs finished) and her jaw literally fell open. This from a girl who has seen way more than her share of C-3PO parts. Great work.
