Cosmichrome work?
Does anyone know somewhere in either Arizona or California that will Cosmichrome? The results look great from the research that I have done, but it is not in my budget to purchase the equipment. I also was looking into vacume metalizing, however the quote I got had raised out of my budget as well..

Re: Cosmichrome work?
I think 2 people here have done it. Chris TK409 and Andy Bluescrutch. I think Chris used Cosmichrome and Andy used Fantachrome.
They are essentially the same chemical process. Base coat, distilled water wash, then metalized coat, distilled water wash, dry, then yellow tinted topcoat which gives the gold finish. Very durable like automotive paints.
I have gotten quotes around $2500 which is considerably more than vac-metalizing (which is approx half the cost).
