Re: G1 inspired Ravage

hi guys
another update, spent the last few days tidying up the head, getting rid of all the imperfections etc, car filler to slope the edges, and bring out the detail, jaw has been giving his famous fangs, plus ive given him a few smaller teeth, to make him more meaner! teeth were made from kebab skewers for the smal teeth, and knitting needles for the bigger fangs, eyes are red live glow perspex that i also used on optimus's energon axe.
heres the pics guys
all the best

another update guys
styrene panels have been added, these give ravage more depth, also in his ears i used some offcuts from a sieve, again this gives ravage the illusion of speaker type ears, once this goes into paint i will dry brush silver to bring out all the small details.
all the best

thanks pan3po, well im trying different things, i might leave the locking nuts but cover with black bolt covers, hiding the bolts, i need the bolts to grip tight, to keep the stiiffness there,

anyway update guys

right styrene added to body, and extra detail added to add more depth to his body, sanded and all nicks and holes filled with car filler, and the body put into black primer, neck also has had styrene added too, now onto the head, eyes were drilled out, and the top of the head too, i then filled the top of the head with epoxy, once set this went like a glass block, eyes were then set in place, and panel replaced back, now i wanted to add a back light to ravages head to light up his eyes, at night, this will be trial and error. All into black primer, this helps me get a feel of where im going, and with the panels rubbed back slightly it brings them out and ravage is taking shape,
oh quick couple of questions, should i go for a black decepticon logo with a chrome surround,or a purple logo??
and should i go for all black, including legs, or silver legs like the cartoon.
all the best

Right next job front paws, paws were tidyed up,sanded and filled, now the great part, i was sitting there watching more than meets the eye, and theres a scene where ravage is captured and put intop a cage, hound drops the keys and ravage trys to reach, as he cant, a small extending arm comes from the top of the paw, mmmmm,it got me thinking, and here it is, a little nod to G1 ravage.
heres the pics guys

Re: G1 inspired Ravage

hi guys

right front legs complete, all filled sand etc, angled the edges to add depth to his legs, then the holes had to be drilled, couple of schoolboy errors, holes in wrong places!! lol once corrected, i counter sunk the bolts so they dont stick out to much, i used locking nuts as they can be done up tight,
decepticon logs are from ebay, i just need to paint them purple, there only there to show you all how this is progressing, heres the pics guys

hi guys
sorry about delay in posting, slipped disc, so no building for a few weeks, but im back on the case, right rear legs complete, quickly assembled to show you guys, tail im really pleased with, the whole thing folds up, and gives ravage the tail he deserves, the tip i engraved, one side human, the other side autobot, with tallies of how many ravage has killed. i can imagine ravage using his claws to engrave his latest kill, anyway heres the pics, still got to tweek a few things, but the whole building part is done.
all the best
