Metalic paint clear coat
OK, so does anyone know of ANY clear coat that will work with metalic paint?
So far every kind I have tried has messed up the paint BIG TIME.

Re: Metalic paint clear coat
I believe there are two types of clear coats. Acrylic clear and lacquer clear. Try the other type and see if that works.

Re: Metalic paint clear coat
With my experience, if you are going for a bright/shiney metallic finish, you can't clear coat it with gold/silver. It dulls it for some reason. I've tried several variations. Hopefully someone will proove me wrong here as I'd like to know how to clearcoat and maintain a true mirror finish myself!
