Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build
Thanks, slow but sure..ish!
I have reworked the neck piston "holders" using a ball joint with an M4 thread to screw the brass neck pistons to.
I am hoping they will be less likely to break and the angle can be adjusted if I want.

Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build
I cut the threads off my neck pistons then drilled and tapped some M3.5 holes then used nylon studs .This way the thread can be bent to position and are almost impossible to snap .

Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build
Nice idea Stuka, yes the wee threads on the FP pistons are very fine and I initially feared them being stripped by the steel nuts supplied. This way I hope it is a bit more robust.

Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build
This is what I did using milliput..
Whilst the milliput was soft I placed pistons in place and formed a seat for them in correct postion..

Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build
The build continues , eyes are now lit!
The hand plates have been sharpened and have stainless steel threads fitted to accept the brass studs.
