Can't say I've spent more than 40 mins each time in the suit. The worst part is definitely the arms. Even though I don't have the brass pistons, they do weight quite a lot, especially when the hands and fingers are included. I have brass pistons on the hands and a snap buttom system for attaching each finger to my hand plates. That's a bit of weight. I get tired really quick, and especially when trying to keep them up making the classic Threepio posture. I plan to pad the shoulder belts in the future, such that I can rest my arms to these for short periods of time without worrying about too much friction and flaking/damage of the chrome near the arm pits.nondisclosed_email@example.com (littledragon88)Wed, 05 Dec 2012 17:26:02 +0000 Re: AlpineDarthMaulhttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p6729,from=rss#post6729https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p6729,from=rss#post6729 Latest photos from a Toys For Tots event, toy trive. We were there for quite some time, and getting quite sore from being in the suit for so long. What is the longest some of you guys have been in your suit and how many breaks do you take? A friend of mine called it the "threepio hangover" for the amount of time it takes to recoup from wearing it. I'm always sore in my shoulders and upper back from holding the posture... nondisclosed_email@example.com (AlpineDarthMaul)Wed, 05 Dec 2012 16:41:39 +0000 Re: AlpineDarthMaulhttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p6613,from=rss#post6613https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p6613,from=rss#post6613The tabs on the gold plates do go inside the gloves, with the wires running down the center. I do need to uncover the wire on the tips of the fingers a bit since they can be seen. (I didn't realize that the fronts of the fingers exposed so much) The rubber shorts and shoes were done at the same time as the rest of the suit, but sadly won't last. The finish cracks each time there is a flex in the rubber. I left a pile of gold flakes in the area where I dressed. Actually wearing them is fine enough, it's putting them on and taking them off is where most of the damage will be done. nondisclosed_email@example.com (AlpineDarthMaul)Sat, 10 Nov 2012 15:25:42 +0000 Re: AlpineDarthMaulhttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p6603,from=rss#post6603https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p6603,from=rss#post6603Impressive! I kinda thought the same thing after looking at the similar pose in each photo. Or maybe it could be because I didn't modify my suit to be larger so it looks proportionate? But Thanks!
