Case for travel
Hey Chris (or any other builders), what are you using to transport your suit when you travel? I need something that is strong enough for shipping the suit. Below is a link to a site that makes custom cases, let me know what you all think. I know Raul Raygoza. used something similar to this for his suit. Thanks everyone!

Re: Case for travel
Are we talking about transporting your 3PO in a Airplane or just general transporting around??

Re: Case for travel
I've traveled by plane with Threepio many times and here's what I do. I use a standard Rubbermaid bin with wheels, exactly like this one:
I lined the bottom and the ends with 2" foam (like bed rolls) from the fabric store. I pack everything in the bin except the arms and head, which I put in a duffle bag and carry it on (the elbow hinges will get broken off if left in the bin).
I wrap everything in velvet-like fabric, then stuff the bin with bubble wrap or packing paper.
Here's how I pack the parts:
fingers fit in --> shoe, fits in ---> shin, fits in --> thigh. Do this for both thighs.
Everything else fits in fine around the thighs. Hope that helps.
