Star Trek Borg Alcove Locutis its DONE!!!!!! 7/30/10
I have been collecting parts for 2 years now for this project.I will be doing a Voyager style alcove like this example. the first pic is not mine (just an example) and the last pic shows the 2 layers..

Here is the start of my back detail panel.
There are 2 layers of panels . You might recognise some of these parts Base Star , Deep Space 9 , aluminum beer bottles and lots of printer covers and scaner tops . pool parts, well you get the idea. On the last pic I overprayed some copper highlights .It will not screen accurate . This will be all custom as junk is free and funds are next to zero . Wife is monitoring the bank.LOL !

As always,great workmanship, i know what you mean about working on a budget, but what i find is,its amazing how much you can build from general stuff that can be bought from local cheap stores, im always buying stuff from my local pound store, infact the shoulder joints ive just built for my optimus,have been made from square and round sugar jar tops, i remember watching the star wars bonus disc,where they built most of the close up shots of the death star using old model battleship kits, i guess its how far your imagination will take you, but outstanding work brad

Now I personally would have wished for 7 of 9 but I guess this will have to do. You do great work. I'll stop by sometime in the next couple months and check out the progress in person.
