Celebration V 2010
Star Wars Celebration V - Aug. 12-15, 2010

I know its very early, But I figured this event needed a thread.
I will be attending, and I've already booked my hotel. I've never flown with 3PO but I would love to bring him...
Are any other builders planning on attending? If so, we should coordinate!

Yep I'll be there too. Ian, flying is so simple an ewok could do it. Pack everything into a big storage tub, but leave out the arms and head. Put those into a carryon duffle bag. In the storage tub. Line the bottom with 2" foam. Wrap your armor parts in felt. Fill in the spaces with butcher paper. Then lay another layer of foam on top. Drill holes in the edge lip around the lid of the tub. Leave a bag of zipties inside the tub so if TSA opens the tub they can use them to close it up again. When you're ready to go, put zip ties through the holes to keep the lid on.
And whatever you do, do not make a big deal about your tub. Don't ask TSA to be careful with it or to make sure it gets to your destination or anything. Don't draw attention to it and they won't bother with it. It's only when you make a big stink that they'll rifle through the contents and then send it to the wrong, but nearby, airport.

This being the 30th anniversary of 'The Empire Strikes Back', you know that everything ESB will be featured. I'm thinking Hoth-based, white protocol droid K-3PO should make an appearance. Anyone have a droid that isn't chromed that wants to be the first on the planet to do a wearable K-3PO?

I hope to attend if $ will permit .My droid will be a display and not a costume sadley.Doese anyone want to share a room ? Im verry clean and will not pee on the carpet! LOL
I live 1 1/2 hrs from Orlando and if anyone wants to ship costumes I can accomidate .. pm me! Doese anyone know anything about the droid room yet? Will there be room for my stuff if I go?

Me and a couple of friends are going to be there. Both of them are R2 builders. I'm hoping to have my 3po done by then. And be able to put him on in the R2 builders group room. Just for the reason of not wanting to go out into the crowds as 3po. You know very low visability. So hopfully that will happen. That could be a place we could all meet. I don't know what do you guy think...?
