Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hi Everyone,
After building a TS and jedi, and being almost done with my TB and officer, I find myself foolishly considering yet another project. Dissuade me!!

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hi all,
My name is Nick and I'm just beginning to collect parts. I'm in the final stage of my R2 build and plan to start 3PO next.

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hello, all!
This thread apparently slipped my view, so I would like to apologizing for occupying forum space with my personal introductory thread.
Anywho, I am Protocol Piper; my facilities are at your disposal. Just today, I ordered the rotocasted head kit and vacuum-formed shoes from Jim Sleeth, and Moncal ABS shorts. I intend on beginning my belly wire section and neck-piece next.
A bit about myself:
As my name indicates, I am a piper -- a bagpiper, that is. Having enjoyed the Star Wars franchise for all fifteen years of my life, I have always felt a strong connection with the character. After considering my options for SW costuming, (which due to my rather small size were quite limited!) I took myself to the dilemma of a scout trooper, or '3PO. Quite obviously, I chose '3PO. After hoarding every penny, nickel, quarter, and dime for some great time, I finally became able to start off on my "Protocol Pilgrimage". Now, I am here!
--- Live long, and Piobaireachd,
~Jordan, the Protocol Piper

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Greeting folks....
I'm told to introduce myself...so here goes..
Member of the Tampa Bay Squad of the 501st. I currently have an Officer and a Biker Scout. My wife has a Female Tusken. My oldest son is a full size TK, and my youngest son has now outgrown his Jawa....
After much deliberation with my youngest, he has expressed interest in moving into the 3PO realm...He is tall enough and skinny enough as compared to our current local 3PO.
I was pointed here to start some of the research, or to look if there is a kit. He is currently 13, (and yes, as said above, about the right size), so it doesn't have to be Completely perfect, but I do want it to pass muster and be a good trooping costume for him and the squad.
Any help or direction you can point me in would be immensely helpful. I also do not want to break the bank, as this will be our 6th costume for the family.
Thanks in advance....
Dylan

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hello,
I am from France and I am a Star Wars fan since forever. I am 34, married and with 1 kid. I always dreamed to have a life size C-3PO and now that I found this place that dream might slowly come true.
I am also looking to make a R2-D2 droid.
I've been looking in the forum for the last couple of days and I've found lots of interesting informations, but I am wondering if this forum is still really active or did it moved to somewhere else..?

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hello all
My name is Jason Winter. I live in Colorado Springs and find myself ever more wanting to do a 3po costume to wear. I am a 501st member and have a few costumes including a storm trooper, snow trooper, and a couple officers. I work for a shipping company as a software developer. In the past, I owned a small autobody shop.
That leads into the part about the costume. I am sure many of you know or know of MonCal for his shorts, gloves, and feet. I am sure some of know that he had a full 3po project that he started, but things for him have shifted away, and he cannot spend time with it any more. Well I have taken over the restoration and completion of his 3po project. This way it can get done and he can do whatever work he needs to do. I hope this project will be finished soon!
