Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hi everyone , My names Brian I'm with the DSG in Arizona.
Iv'e only just started trooping this last year but so far I have an apporved TI costume All three Vader versions in the works along with a Tusken sculpt and a Royal Gaurd resculpt .
I'm a bit of a workaholic after the work day is over. My friends give me a hard time because I take my time trying to get my details right the first time and sometimes a project seams to take forever.
I just this week got a Don Post C3po that needs alot of work but i think over the next year I can get it done. I've allready started looking for someone to machine some new parts for me we'll see what happens. Looking forward to getting to know some new folks that share the love of the build as much as me.

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hey there, this is kind of awkward! I'm a 'young' Star Wars fan I guess (18), I live in Washington state and, well... I'm a girl on a quest to make a wearable 3PO suit. Is that weird? Maybe you'll all be amused by the fact that I used to have a little crush on Threepeo as a kid. (And maybe I still do! haha)
I'm amazed by all everyone here has done! I have to admit I don't even have any trooper armor... I'm pretty much a complete newbie to model making or costume making on this level... but that's why I'm joining. I can learn a lot from you guys. And again I feel very awkward being so young and... girly. You'd think I'd be after my own Leia bikini but I guess I'm not like a lot of other girl Star Wars fans. I would like to dress as Amidala someday though.
I've been wondering... Has anyone here ever considered making a 3PO costume from the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon? Since I'm so new to this, I thought it might be cool to start out with a more 'simple' costume design... But I also think it'd be cool- I've never seen anyone dressed as a 'live' toon 3PO!
Anyway just wanted to say hi! And well, if anyone has any suggestions on how to go about making toon 3PO, I'm all ears. This is going to be a tough one. ):

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Glad to have you! You know, the silver 3po in the opening scenes of ANH was a girl - so was the stunt 3po that R2 pushed off Jabba's sail barge - you'd fit it just fine
As for a toon 3po - no one has attempted it, but it would require sculpting just the same as the regular one did. The good news is all the hard work's been done already for the regular one.
Welcome to the forum!

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hi builders!
My name is Akira Iwase from Japan.
And I'm TK-1022 at 501st Japanese Garrison as well(I use to be Inactive but recently, I just came back to active).
I guess some of you might know about me that I played
and walked around with my ep2 version of 3PO that I built at C3.
And fortunately, I have won 2nd place at the “outer rim “section of costume pageant and I will be so happy if some of you remember about me.
Chris invited me here and would love to join all of you.
I have to say my English is no good and I'm just learning myself but I try my best.
I will appreciate if you correct me when I made mistake or use funny English..
btw, My wife "Kana" would try to be 3PO and she will start her career next Sunday!! and that would be exciting!!
Looking forward to talk with all of you here!!
Cheers!!
Akira Iwase
Costume pageant at C3.
2nd place of "Outer Rim section"
My wife" Kana" is now also 3PO!
Is "SHE" first one in the world ??
