Styrene 3PO Head Assembly

Hi,
Does anyone know of a posted tutorial or a link on the assembly of the styrene wearable head from Jim?

Thanks.

Gary.

I'd be in for a tutorial too. I'm leaning towards a fiberglass because I'm worried I'd have no clue.

Hi Everyone! I'm new here, and just received my Vacuformed head from Jim yesterday. It appears to be complicated, but it just depends on your intention for the kit. I don't have pictures, but there are resin reinforcement blocks and tabs to attach the 2 halves together for wearing. You'd have to fit bolts into the neck greeblies though. In all, its a nice kit, and easier to built up as a "display only" piece, but seems to have options for both uses. My heads too large to wear it, but I'll be building a wearable one as a 'prop replica of a background droid' since it won't be vac-metalized. Once I start building next month, I'll post up pics.

The head on the left is a resin , the one in middle is a Jim Sleeth and the one on the right is a partly completed Jim Sleeth

The vacuform heads are from Starbuckcylon here on the forum. They are a low cost alterintive to the resin ones. As I am making 3 - 3pos, Starbuckcylon hooked me up with 2 vac heads for K-3po and R-3po. I love them! This one is almost done..Just have to fill some gaps with red putty and paint the finnish coat It took 1 hour to build..

Thanks guys for the pics & video! Stukatrooper is it the styrene or fiberglass head from Jim? Also if you don't mind what size is your head? Braddock for some reason I'm a bit nervous cutting into & assembling the styrene helmet....wondering what you might charge to do this for me. Thanks again guys!
