Re: Styrene 3PO Head Assembly

I did have a starbuckcylon fiberglass head but it was way to small the face area just couldn't get on,so I bought the styrene head much more room in there.

I had the same problem, so I had to go for the styrene head as well. The thing with the fibeglass helmet is that the front opening is very small, as well with the 'horse shoe'. The styrene front of the head is a bit flexible breadth-wise, allowing for a little bit more room. But as everything with C3PO, it's all about a few 7-12 mm's of gain.

I also used putty to improve the details on the styrene head as the details due to the vacuum forming process on the original head is quite weak.

I also added fiberglass on the inside of the back of the head for extra strength, which makes it just as heavy as the starbuck-cylon helmet.

I only have the resin ones. But I am really interested in 3D printed ones, I found the brass ones to be a bit expensive. I think I'll upgrade it to brass in the future instead.

Thanks cymico. Pictures say a thousand words.

I need to purchase some of the metal greeblies like the antenna, as the 2 that came with the styrene head are made of the same material as the horse shoe.

Could you please post a couple of photos of how you have the neck screws mounted?

Many thanks.
Phil
