My protocol head sculpt.

Here's where i'm at with my protocol droid head sculpt. To get to this point I sculpted a rough head and made a mold of it. i then cast it in fiberglass and started tooling it. Then the wind nearly destroyed the casting. i have pieced it back together and bondo'd the heck out of it. i put some primer on it to show the main areas i need to work on. Please give me feedback on how it looks and what areas you think I need to reshape.

I think it is awesome and hope to see more! Is this your first or do you have more sculpts?

It's my first. I also have a female tusken I've been working on. 3po is a very hard sculpt to get symmetrical and smooth, but I'll keep working on it.

Dude!

I am like totally impressed. I am in awe, this is one fine sculpt. Your right, getting everything equal is so very tough, but from my experience, your about 90% done.

Sure, you'll spend some time fine sanding, but the end result is pure satisfaction. Please do keep working on it, I can't wait to see more.

Thanks guys. The hardest part I'm having is with the "nose" and eyes. It's such a tight area to work and sand. I'm sure once I get the face right the back of the head will go a little more smoothly.

Wow! I just now saw this thread! Your Threepio sculpt looks very true to the original. Nice job! Any progress pics?
