Not bad. I'm actually impressed! You could glue some plastic blocks or tubes to the inner ring so that the screws from the outer ring have something to bite into. One trick to make it slide better is use some silicone spray.

Also remember that the pegs attached in the ring that go through the bell is what will help take the stress off of the hinge when moving. (oops I just realized using the pegs to move the ring won't work unless you cut a slot for the pegs.)

I like it! I'll be experimenting with something similar when my torso arrives. I agree with Jeff about the silicone spray. I have some CRC silicone spray that I use for my rubik's cubes and it works wonders. Dries fast and doesn't get all over everything and keeps everything moving smoothly.

If you don't want to use that some thin felt on the inside of the ring might help as well.

Looks Great.
How will the front of the torso and back connect once the shoulder bells are attached?

I'd guess it would be like the movie suits where one bell is attached to the back of the torso, one to the front. Is this correct?

Yes, but i am concerned about the ridge that the ring sits on. How will that fit inside and attach to the other half?

No, the torso will fit together as always. The ring will be a self contained componant part as it is now,the only difference being it has the ring spinning round the plastic shim .it will just slide on the torso as it does now.I will update tomorrow.
