This is a mock up of what i am going to do.the hat elastic will be glued into the fingersrunning down the top inside.you can see the bolts/screws that hold the brass details on.The black one inch elastic is also bolted and holds the hand plate onto my hand which will have a silk thin black glove.I may also put the same one inch elastic round the wrist area. This is just a mock up as i will not glue anything until its been vac metalized, but you get the idea.there are only three detail parts bolted so i will run two elastics from two of the bolts, probebly the outter bolts. as a side note i will also use this hat elastic on my undersuit on the elbows back of legs etc. nondisclosed_email@example.com (stukatrooper)Mon, 20 Feb 2012 16:42:25 +0000 Re: friends, romans, countrymen lend me your arms.https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5400,from=rss#post5400https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5400,from=rss#post5400Hi there sorry to bother you again any chance for a diagram of how you did your arms to your fingers with elastic nondisclosed_email@example.com (matthew007)Mon, 20 Feb 2012 15:59:41 +0000 Re: friends, romans, countrymen lend me your arms.https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5377,from=rss#post5377https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5377,from=rss#post5377Hi there is it possible for you to draw a diagrams fir the elastic for the arms to hands only I recevied my elastic today. nondisclosed_email@example.com (matthew007)Thu, 16 Feb 2012 21:17:22 +0000 Re: friends, romans, countrymen lend me your arms.https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5368,from=rss#post5368https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5368,from=rss#post5368Do you mean the forarm tab? if so see the last part of the video,i removed the tab from the arm and fixed the piston tab with wire.I have found by fixing all the piston points in one position you loose very little movement in the arm and it gives the pistons a smooth ride ,also looking more dramatic with full postion extensions each way.Rather than snagging and catching with the tabs.nondisclosed_email@example.com (stukatrooper)Thu, 16 Feb 2012 19:34:34 +0000 Re: friends, romans, countrymen lend me your arms.https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5365,from=rss#post5365https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5365,from=rss#post5365How did you solve the issue with one of the 'tabs' on the fiberglass arm not fitting correctly with the brass piston? I changed this by sanding off the lugs on the forarms ,re-drilling the holes further back and a little lower down ,made some new lugs with putty i did not change the bicep holes. This has really changed the look of the arm,it now looks far more in keeping with the other parts. I will add these shoulder bells in the next episode. The video is a little dark,i will clear that up later,it sort of shows thats been written above. nondisclosed_email@example.com (stukatrooper)Thu, 16 Feb 2012 15:24:36 +0000 Re: friends, romans, countrymen lend me your arms.https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5355,from=rss#post5355https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5355,from=rss#post5355I have the same issue with the LG arms. The length is greater than the length of my arms and impeads movement up near the arm sockets. I'll be triming mine as well. What ever happened with your shoulder rings. I'd still like to see the results of that.nondisclosed_email@example.com (waldo kent)Thu, 16 Feb 2012 09:40:44 +0000 Re: friends, romans, countrymen lend me your arms.https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5342,from=rss#post5342https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5342,from=rss#post5342Thanks guys ,go one better and get some 1mm HAT ELASTIC it comes in many colours .It is just like very thin bungee cord, very stretchy .I have just ordered some.so cheap as well.reds, blues whites yellows etc.Replace the wire and elastic with just this.nondisclosed_email@example.com (stukatrooper)Tue, 14 Feb 2012 19:25:59 +0000 Re: friends, romans, countrymen lend me your arms.https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5333,from=rss#post5333https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p5333,from=rss#post5333I've seen the elastic used on the prequel hands.
