3d Printed Parts I've been working on making all the c3po accessories as 3d printable parts. This is where I'll update what's done, what's in progress, and what's to come, along with links to items.
If you have questions let me know. All the updates will be in this first post so you won't have to dig far for links.
FINISHED Eyes
Test render...
Perfect fitment, just like the brass version.
Here are the styles available.
the FAC modded version will fit exactly the same as the standard FAC but I removed a bit of plastic to save on cost.
Links to buy eyes...
ZORG
1.5 Inch Diameter These match the eyes that came with my mask but look too large in my opinion. I've since switched to the Zorg style for my own build.
Chest Greeblie Hollow version. I haven't received one of these yet so I can't comment on it at the moment. I will post a solid version soon as well.
Head Antenna
Belly Pistons (Version 1)
IN PROGRESS Knee Pistons
First tests of these are in my hands now. They look great. Going to make a few versions of these (all should look identical but with different internal structure) and I'll have them posted soon.
Arm Pistons
First version fully modeled and uploaded to shapeways. Ordering a set in the next week to check them out and see if there are any issues.
Small Forearm Greebles
Bicep Greeblies
Modded Chest Parts... (more to come on this)
THE TO-DO LIST
Neck Bolts
Side and Shorts Bolt caps
Also working on Artoo parts and Some other goodies...
I'm working now but will start updating this post with some photos and links shortly.
Let me know if you have requests for parts not listed, modded versions of existing parts, or accessories you may like.
Re: 3d Printed Parts Thanks Darthpedge, The prices will be available as I post links to the items. Shapeways give lots of material options and the prices vary. BUT that said, I do think their lowest priced material (white strong flexible) is a really good choice. It's very strong and now they make a polished version of the same stuff for a few bucks more.
As for this video...
Sorry for the ramble. I'm not the best at talking to a camera
Re: 3d Printed Parts Wow, I am very interested as well if you ever start selling these. Any chance of also making the small chest greeblie cylinder-thing as well? I guess it should be fairly easy to model.
Re: 3d Printed Parts Thanks guys!
Chest greebie is available! There's a link in the first post but I don't have a photo to post yet.
It's just over $2. Shipping costs more than the part so I'll order one when I order the arm pistons and arm greeblies.
Re: 3d Printed Parts Seeing that there is interest in these parts for use on non-Threepio props, I'll do versions wih and without mounting points. They should be available by Monday or Tuesday.
Re: 3d Printed Parts Nice! I've already ordered the chest greebly and hand pistons, these parts will help me go a long way into finishing my 3P0 and finishing my Boussh build.
