Cutting fingers and thumb.


Hi can anyone tell me when cutting fingers do you cut thumb as well.

Thanks guys these pics are ace,what did you use I'm worried about chipping the fiberglass of,was it a drimmel or a little saw.thanks once again

I used a dremel with a metal cutting wheel. Really easy to do. Just draw a little line with a pencil where you want to cut. You really don't need to but for me it was slightly reassuring.
I also numbered all the parts of the fingers first so the parts would match up after i cut them. Easy to mix them up.

How are you both sticking yours fingers on.do you leave them on the glove before chroming or leave them off.what glue are you using if you have stuck them on..Thanks matt

I will probably take mine apart for chroming but I figured something out that seems to work pretty nice. I used pieces of bicycle inner tube to connect the finger segments and the he back of the hand.

In one of my recent blog posts you can see the setup in the video.

Right now the setup uses hot glue and is only temporary so I can disassemble for chroming/adjustments. I'll use better adhesive for the final version.

One good thing about having the fingers attached to the hand backs is that it seems to make rotating the hands easier when the arms are worn. I tried connecting the fingers to some gloves and wearing the back of the and separately but the back of the hand wouldn't rotate properly when I rotated my hand. This method seems to have fixed that.
