I'm curently assembling my ABS shorts and I've joined the two halves at one side so far. It's become apparent that if I glue the other side shut, I won't be able to get the shorts on just by stepping into them.
Once they're already in place, they fit fine, but they need to expand as they move past my thighs and into place. If they're a single, solid unit, I don't think they'll go on like a pair of shorts.
Re: How do you put shorts on? add elastic to the one side, or both. Glue it in place at the size you need to be able to wear them. Then the elastic can stretch over your hips and settle back to the correct size.
Re: How do you put shorts on? Great advice I will try as this has been a problem I've been trying to solve for about a year and a half.this leaves a joint showing,I wonder if getting a strip of gold to put over it everytime I wear them.it would solve the problem I hope
Re: How do you put shorts on? It will leave a seam showing, however its only noticable from the side. And since most photos will be taken from the front, it doesnt show very often.
Re: How do you put shorts on? Thanks guys. I thought that I could seal the front to the back, with a half inch shim for added comfort, but they won't get on past my thighs like that! I think I'll seal one side, then do the elastic seal on the other side, and secure with a velcro tab once in place. Thanks!
