Re: Thigh supports?
The shoes protect my feet. Just uncomfortable. I use the rubber style that I make/supply. My bigger concern is that the legs drop too low at the thigh which allows the bottom edge of the pelvis to pop out. So, if the legs are suspended, it might fix two problems at once.

Hi,
I've been looking through the forum for a tutorial on supporting the legs/thighs. I seem to remember that part of the belly wires (possibly the section with the belly pistons?) were actually supports for the legs that ran from the legs, under the pelvis and chest - similar to suspenders.
Does anyone know of, or can offer, suggestions for this mod? I think that is the next step for my 3po. Thanks!
I spoke with Anthony regarding this detail on the suit and he told me that the legs were never held up with anything and are just held up by the weight resting on the feet.
He told me that the two visible lines on the ANH and promo suit belly wires (The ones with the pistons on) are simply made to show obvious movement and don't form any support at all.
The lines on the front curve and change to help show movement from Anthony's body.
I assume that because he was so good at giving movement to the suit that they decided to not carry this detail onto the belly wires for the subsequent films.

Re: Thigh supports?
That's interesting. This is one of those cases in which the costumer makes needed improvements over production made items. But very cool that you have gone straight to the source for a definitive answer. Thanks!
So, back to fixing this issue. What else has anyone done to support the legs?

Re: Thigh supports?
I would go with Gordon's suggestion and use padding on the lower half of the legs so they cant drop so easy.
