C-3po mouth
hello I've seen some people c-3po heads they have added around the mouth area two strips one above the top lip and one under the bottom lip I was wondering what people used as the strips.

Im using a nylon mesh.
Cut two squares out, Hot glue them on top of each other in place and then cut a hole for a straw to slip through.

Sorry to ask such a stupid question is straw meant to be flat or tube , when the tube is won't the end be raised.or do do you fill them in.

Sorry, which end do you mean? The straw runs through a slit cut in the centre of the mouth mesh once glued in place

Baxterianism, I think you may have misunderstood the question.
Matthew007, check out the "C3po & Protocol Droids" section. There are a few threads by other members showing their head builds & tweaks.
Forest Trooper has a photo in his thread showing the lips you are talking about. I have seen a thread where someone has used a match stick to make the lip. Others have used bog & shaped the lip.
It really is upto you as to how you want to do it, but I recommend browsing the forums & reading on how other people have done their build.
