I thought about doing such a mod once, but then I somehow went on with the chroming without looking back. My chest is wearable, but I admit that it is quite tight, and is definitely not something I could've worn for longer periods. Breathing normally is in fact quite hard, but I'll make sure to take lots of breaks. Thanks for sharing. If I am to have a new chest, I'd definitely go for this kind of mod!nondisclosed_email@example.com (littledragon88)Tue, 30 Jul 2013 08:19:38 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7486,from=rss#post7486https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7486,from=rss#post7486I don't have a pc only my itouch, not sure how you get pics up on here.are you on facebook.I think I may have asked you beforenondisclosed_email@example.com (matthew007)Tue, 30 Jul 2013 03:53:47 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7485,from=rss#post7485https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7485,from=rss#post7485Sounds nice have to get some pictures upnondisclosed_email@example.com (Darthpedge)Tue, 30 Jul 2013 01:54:45 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7484,from=rss#post7484https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7484,from=rss#post7484Looking mega nice.at work we made a brass ring that goes around the throat valve.nondisclosed_email@example.com (matthew007)Mon, 29 Jul 2013 19:22:10 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7483,from=rss#post7483https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7483,from=rss#post7483Hi thanks yes it looks great and I had them made from Ali coz won't be Golding these my main man ec30 on the parts section made them pm him for details and price well worth doing me thinks nondisclosed_email@example.com (Darthpedge)Mon, 29 Jul 2013 17:46:58 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7482,from=rss#post7482https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7482,from=rss#post7482Looking great, how long did it take to alter the torso,it's a much better option that cutting the front and nodding that well..I'm 100% going to do this if myn dosent fit.who did your ringsnondisclosed_email@example.com (matthew007)Mon, 29 Jul 2013 12:58:43 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7481,from=rss#post7481https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7481,from=rss#post7481Hi guys ok as promised here are some snaps with the new rings, they are a little undersized but its nots that bad and if I decide at a later date I want them bigger then its no hard ship to change.. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Darthpedge)Mon, 29 Jul 2013 10:53:02 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7478,from=rss#post7478https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7478,from=rss#post7478Not sure as yet mine were a first off you would be best pm him buddy I'm guessing around £35.00 plus postage nondisclosed_email@example.com (Darthpedge)Sun, 28 Jul 2013 11:18:38 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7477,from=rss#post7477https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7477,from=rss#post7477Bingo. Never thought I would ever say that lol not to mention iv bought girls gold and silver bloody leggings, my wife thinks I'm on the turn lol..nondisclosed_email@example.com (Darthpedge)Sat, 27 Jul 2013 19:48:56 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7475,from=rss#post7475https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7475,from=rss#post7475That's some great work this is what I thought of doing,I have the larger chest size as well, still a bit tight even though Ive lost weight.the last time I tried it on.I could move around and it didn't hurt having it on,until I tried putting the rubber matting on underneath it would fit.so I went into a charity shope found a mini skirt size 12 it is ribbed.and it fits under the torso.but I might try yours method if I find it too tight again. nondisclosed_email@example.com (matthew007)Sat, 27 Jul 2013 12:01:34 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7474,from=rss#post7474https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7474,from=rss#post7474nondisclosed_email@example.com (Darthpedge)Sat, 27 Jul 2013 11:08:40 +0000 Re: ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7473,from=rss#post7473https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7473,from=rss#post7473Ok so it fits so I got my milliput out and started on the profiles And there you have it, iv still got to love it some more but its there..now YOU WILL NEED TO CHANGE YOUR RESIN RINGS AS YOUR OLD ONES WON'T FIT.. This is due to the hole size on the torso being that bit larger, if you look in the parts section there are some iv posted for a friend who made mine you will need to give him dimensions as you you may make your torso bigger/smaller than mine and that will effect the size of the rings. The outer dimension of the rings are the same as the old ones its the internal dim that change . I will post pictures of my torso with new rings on soon as they arrive... Hope this helps guys it did for me nondisclosed_email@example.com (Darthpedge)Sat, 27 Jul 2013 10:56:28 +0000 ALTERNATIVE TORSO MODShttps://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7472,from=rss#post7472https://bc3pobuilders.runboard.com/p7472,from=rss#post7472Hi gang, thought I would share my torso mods I did with you as it seems to be the thing a lot of us have to do if not lucky enough to get it on first time round.. The problem I had after buying the larger torso was that I struggled to get it to close near my armpit area. My profile (latts) stuck out pinching between the joints of the torso and was @#€$ing painful to say the least. After a lot of thought I decide to play around with the idea of of taping my latts together by wrapping tape around my chest under my arms this solved the problem of the pinching so my intention is to attach to straps to the under suit that I can pull around my chest and secure with Velcro on my back, thus giving me the T shape chest instead of a Y shape if you get my meaning lol. The next problem was he torso was very tight and would not close together at the bottom and needed extending if it was ever to be wearable, I lost half a stone and now weight in around 11.5 stone and are aiming for 11 having said that the mods I have made I can fit into so any weight loss will be a blessing.. Ok pictures .. I can't find the first ones but basically I put torso on and measured the gap it was 45mm so I took it off fastened together at Top (neck) then pulled torso apart to the 45mm and hot glued some wood in the centre to keep it at the distance. Now the next thing to do is to apply some heat across the back of the shoulders straight across the torso to relieve the stress on the neck and whilst its hot dunk it in a cold bath this will set the fibreglass in place. then you need to make some cardboard templates to get the profile of the torso back looking something like it was before. This bit I forgot to take pictures, but you need to make templates then get some wire matting and cut the shapes out, then you hot glue those in place, I then used p40 body filler (fibreglass) paste to the wire matting to form the body.. Once you have achieved the shape you need to fill with body filler and sand till you go crazy lol You will need to sand back the torso profiles so you can bring them back into shape later, I did this with milliput.. You can see the shape taking place the profiles are the next ball ache but you can see it coming together with a lot of sanding trace coating and milliputing and more sanding lol.. Tried it on before I finished it off nondisclosed_email@example.com (Darthpedge)Sat, 27 Jul 2013 10:47:08 +0000
