Foresttrooper's C3PO build

I got the kit this recently, spent so much time already, the kit had cracks in a few parts, lots of poorly mixed car body repair filler, thin sections, lots of high spots, low spots, warps etc which I don't mind as I needed to expand and reduce some parts anyway.

Here is my first test fit ,

Still a lot to sort out yet but quite an enjoyable build so far.

Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build

Thanks guys, these are the large torso and large arms. I changed the front of the chest and sharpened up some soft detailing, seemed to sit a bit funny at the circles as well, adjusted the back slightly, changed the neck angle reduced the length of the biceps and forearms, reduced the forearm width as well, changed the elbow pivot point quite a bit , changed a few details on the arms, I maybe should have ordered the smaller arms, thought my forearms were Popeye sized!

I will just work away at this until I am happy emoticon

I haven't taken a break from this build yet, so much to do yet, some adjustments so far,

Backs od the thighs rebuilt,

Front thigh teeth reshaped and sharpened,

Backs of shins expanded and thickened,

Hinges recessed and fibreglassed in place.

I felt the knee areas were a little bit tight and the original suit seemed to have wider knees , at least in the later movies.

Some adjusting ,

Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build

Thanks Darth Pedge, I have fibreglassed quite a bit of stuff prior to this costume build but this is my worst/best use of the stinking stuff! Trying to "sculpt" in fibreglass is not advisable!!

Some more fibreglassing "upgrades",
