Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build
thanks Darth, Xmas is well over now, family time was lovely and it was nice to get a bit of time to do stuff on the suit,
Shoulder bell hinges, still need to be glued and screwed but this will hopefully work quite well, aluminium washer at back of shoulder bell , hope to align this to the shoulder rings ,
Back plate on back section, I have spent quite a while trying to get the lines straight, and ensure the two parts sit flush,
Held on with two small 4mm allen bolts and two magnets,
Rear of plate has added fibreglass "teardop" holes,

Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build
The shoulder bells and rings are almost finished, lots of stuff to finish yet I have tried to ensure the hinge is a strong a connection as possible.

Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build
The size seems to be a guess for folks, I initially worked out approx 12.7mm x 12.7mm on a reference pic but have reduced this to 12mm x12mm. My reference pic showed a concave angled surface and a central indent so I went with that. I used am M4 thread to secure the greebliee to the chest.

Re: Foresttrooper's C3PO build
Thanks, the c3po "stamp" was for a bit of fun, because I could, btw it is in "droid serif" font
The shorts may be vacformed this weekend, if all goes well.
I am playing around with a lathe as well atm, inner bicep piston in brass, a bit smaller than the resin version supplied with the suit,
