Building my own suit.

Hello everyone. I am studying and researching how to create my own C-3PO suit. I am in Scotland, UK. Please let me know where to source the most accurate parts. Thanks in advance for all help and guidance.

Re: Building my own suit.

Hi Greystones,

building C-3PO is a lot of work, I suspect a lot of guys give up on their builds. I was regularly stalling on my own build. The long wait for a TK 409 suit doesn't help but there are parts that are not included with the kit. You can spend time making these other parts or making brass/aluminium parts as sharper upgrades. The for sale section on here has a few parts you may need.

I have been a few kits available but atm the TK 409 is the best. There is a recaster in UK selling recast TK 409 kits, Golden Armor, a terrible vacformed version but possible to make ok, there was a German guy doing kits on RPF but I think he has stopped.
I am quite sure there will be a complete C3PO kit available soon ,maybe even a licensed kit.

I have built at least 20 Star Wars costumes, C-3PO was the most difficult costume yet...and I still have some parts to improve!

123 parts were sent to the vac metallising shop and that didn't include everything!

If you Love C-3PO and are ready to put in a lot of time and effort into it then all the best with the build.
This forum is not quite so popular as legion detachment forums for example, but ask as many questions as you need.
